ARTsisters Update-JCC, Gryphon
Just an FYI
When Marge, Sandi, And I (Jeanne) left the Katz JCC this afternoon, there was only Ellen's work remaining. She was supposedly coming from the shore to get them.
Also, I don't remember but I think the reception date for this might have been confirmed too late for our newsletter, so here's a calendar marker for y'all!
Allow me to invite all my fellow ARTsisters:
Friday, July 17th from 5-7 pm is the artists reception for the July Gryphon show. I hope some of you can come. I have seven pastels hanging there and ONE HAS ALREADY SOLD!!! WooHoo! :)
Art is hanging now, and will stay until August 2.

In Echoing Blue, a monotype, I focus on the thundering tons and tons of water as it falls over the edge right in front of me. Can you feel the spray?

Gryphon Show is hung!
Just letting y'all know,....
The "Rhythm in Blues" Gryphon Show got hung today. Looks good (despite a less than ideal hanging system!)

ARTsisters Reception At JCC, Cherry Hill
Fellow ARTsisters,
Time is flying by too fast! Our artist reception at Jewish Community Center is tomorrow!
Does anyone want to plan to carpool? It isn't all that far away, but I think it's certainly far away enough that carpooling makes sense, will save us gas and make us greener!
I can drive a vehicle that seats five.
Anyone?

Cultivating Collectors Face to Face
I just read a very interesting and informative article on Clint Watson's blog, "Fine Art Views" and I highly recommend that every artist read it!
He often posts articles written by artists who have something helpful to say to other artists. This post, entitled "Cultivating Collectors Face to Face" is about pursuing selling options other than the usual gallery route. It was written by Lori Woodward Simons. (Post date was 3/6/09)
